China News Service, Longyan, July 31 (Zhang Genbin, Zhong Hongbin) – “All personnel, disembark and assemble! Unload the equipment!” With the commander’s command, 60 fire rescue personnel immediately loaded their equipment into aviation boxes and lined up at the Longyan Chaytan Airport in Liancheng City. On July 31, the Longyan branch of the Fujian Forest Fire Brigade, together with Longyan Chaytan Airport Co., Ltd., the Chaytan Airport Branch of the Longyan Public Security Bureau, and China United Airlines, among other departments, conducted an “BLUEPROTECT 2024” aerial delivery drill.

This exercise was aimed at the team’s mobility rescue model of “serving the local area, radiating the surrounding areas, and supporting the whole country,” emphasizing command practice, mobility training, coordination drills, and logistical support. The exercise was designed to hone the team’s ability to achieve a swift victory in a real-world scenario, its “unobstructed” delivery capability across the entire area, its multi-dimensional joint delivery capability, and its safe and efficient delivery capability.

The scenario was set as a particularly serious earthquake disaster in a northwest part of China, with severe house collapses, complete disruptions to roads, electricity, and communications, and an urgent need for emergency response forces to be sent to the disaster area. Upon receiving the disaster alert, the branch responded quickly and dispatched 60 rescue personnel to the disaster area by combining motorized and aerial delivery methods. The branch coordinated with the airport, the police, and the airline to open a green channel for personnel and equipment supplies, assisting in the entire process of checking in and loading equipment and supplies, ensuring that the rescue forces were delivered as quickly as possible.

“This aerial delivery drill is a practical exploration for the branch in strengthening modular loading, multi-force collaboration, and the construction of remote and three-dimensional delivery capabilities,” said Wang Conghua, deputy branch commander. “The branch will use this drill as an opportunity to further deepen research on topics such as emergency response, air-rail integration, rapid transfer, and secondary delivery, continuously honing the team’s ability to achieve a swift victory in mobility delivery, ensuring that the high-efficiency of force delivery guarantees the high-quality completion of tasks.”

Through this exercise, the rapid response and practical combat capabilities of the rescue team were tested, and the efficiency of multi-agency collaborative operations was enhanced, providing valuable experience for responding to emergencies and disaster relief.
