Hangzhou, China – The second edition of the China (Zhejiang) Global Overseas Chinese New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference project selection competition, popularly known as the Qiaochuang Competition, officially commenced in Hangzhou on September 20. Themed Connecting the World with Overseas Chinese·Creating the Future, the event aims to establish a platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, and community bonding among the new generation of overseas Chinese, attracting more Qiaochuang talents to integrate into the new pattern of high-quality development.

The competition serves as a bridge for young overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and innovators to connect with China’s vibrant business ecosystem. Global Reach and Inclusive Participation
Open to individuals aged 45 and under, the competition is inclusive of华侨华人 (overseas Chinese), 归侨 (returned overseas Chinese), 侨眷 (relatives of overseas Chinese), and international students studying abroad. The competition is structured with five domestic zones—Southwest, Northwest, the Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Delta, and Central China—along with three overseas zones in the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Diverse Categories and Prizes
The competition is divided into two main categories: High-Tech and Growth. Participants can submit projects in four key sectors: New Energy, New Materials, Green Low-Carbon Industry, Future Industry, Intelligent Manufacturing, Biopharmaceuticals, Bio-Economy, New Retail and Logistics, Digital Economy, and Cultural Tourism Industry. In line with the overall requirement to accelerate the development of new-quality productivity, the competition is structured into four stages: preliminary, qualifying, semi-final, and final rounds.
The High-Tech category will award one first prize, two second prizes, and five third prizes. Meanwhile, the Growth category will distribute one first prize, three second prizes, and eight third prizes.
