Innovative and Heartfelt: Engaging the Masses with the Spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee
In recent weeks, innovative and heartfelt approaches to disseminating the essence of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee have been gaining momentum across Beijing, Hainan, Anhui, and Hebei provinces. Through a diverse array of activities tailored to the preferences of local communities, the spirit of the plenary session is being communicated in ways that resonate with the masses, ensuring that the messages are not only heard but also understood and embraced.
In Beijing, a distinctive Theory + People + Art宣讲 (propaganda) team has been assembled, comprising theory experts, community storytellers, and performing artists. This team has been dispatched to the city’s 16 districts and the economic and technological development zone to deliver engaging presentations on themes such as rural revitalization, consultative democracy, and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. A recent event at the Guangyi+ Cultural Center in Xicheng District featured a scholarly discussion on consultative democracy and community governance by Yuan Zhenlong, a researcher from the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences. To illustrate his points, Yuan invited Beijing Quyi Troupe actor He Dan to perform a solo string piece titled A Family Feast, which depicted the heartwarming story of a community worker named Hui Fang sacrificing her own family for the greater good. The audience was captivated by the blend of theory and performance.
Hainan Province has also been pioneering new methods to make the Party’s innovative theories accessible to the general public. In July and August, a Return Home social practice university student宣讲 (propaganda) team was formed in Baisha Li Autonomous County. Comprising over 100 members, the team conducted more than 90 themed宣讲 (propaganda) events across various townships, government offices, and community centers. By adapting the language of policy into local dialects and using interactive methods like knowledge quizzes and question-and-answer sessions, the students have successfully bridged the gap between official discourse and grassroots understanding.
In Wanning City, 24宣讲 (propaganda) teams have been engaging with local communities in a multitude of settings, from fields and village squares to schools and lecture halls. The use of youthful language has helped to spread the Party’s voice to younger generations. According to Zeng Fanhui, the Party Secretary of Qunpo Village in Liji Town, these face-to-face interactions have deepened his understanding of the plenary session’s spirit and strengthened his resolve to develop the village’s collective economy.
Anhui Province has organized over 22,000 online and offline宣讲 (propaganda) sessions, reaching an audience of 2.13 million people. Hu Xiaolan, the Director of the Yindong District Workers’ Service Center in Fuyang City and a renowned grassroots宣讲 (propaganda) officer, has been particularly innovative in her approach. Her Hu Xiaolan Famous Mouthpiece Studio offers unique programs like Tonight’s Talk and Micro Talk Night, which have been widely praised for their engaging style. She has also launched a WeChat public account called Xiaolan Micro Talk to further amplify the messages of the plenary session.
In Hebei’s Xiongan New Area, a combination of宣讲 (propaganda) and volunteer services, as well as cultural and artistic activities, has been employed to ensure that the spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee remains vibrant among the grassroots. In the Yundong area of Rongdong, a returnee resident named Zhao Yue shared her personal experiences and the tangible benefits she has received from the development of Xiongan New Area. Her heartfelt account has left a lasting impression on the audience, deepening their understanding of the plenary session’s spirit and its relevance to their daily lives.
These innovative and heartfelt approaches to宣讲 (propaganda) are not only spreading the Party’s messages but also fostering a sense of unity and determination among the people. By engaging with the masses in ways that resonate with their experiences and interests, these provinces are ensuring that the spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee is not just heard but also felt and acted upon.
