Cabinet Secretariat Meeting: Responsibility for Decision on Deputy Speaker Ranamagar Given to Parliamentary Party

Friday, September 13, 2024, Kantipur Correspondent, Kathmandu – The ruling party has given the responsibility to make a decision on Deputy Speaker Indira Ranamagar, who is accused of violating the official code of conduct. The secretariat meeting, held at the party’s central office in Lalitpur on Friday, did not reach a conclusion despite discussions on the issue. Party General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that the party supports the decision made by the parliamentary party. ‘The party fully supports the decision made by the parliamentary party on the issue of the Parliament,’ he said after the meeting. He added that the government is focused on formulating a shared program with the ruling party. ‘The government has not yet started the review of the government’s work. However, the party’s assessment has improved among the people since the government was formed under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The work of building close relations between the ruling party and the political parties and formulating a common minimum program has started,’ he said.
