Putin Urges China’s Attendance at BRICS Summit in Kazan
SaintPetersburg, Russia – Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his strong desire for China’s participation in the upcoming BRICS summit, scheduled for October in Kazan, Russia. During a meeting with Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo ofthe Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, Putin conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to Chinese President XiJinping.

The meeting, held in Saint Petersburg onSeptember 12, saw both sides discuss the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China, a relationship built on principles of equality and mutual benefit. Putin expressed gratitude for China’s support for Russia’s role as the current BRICS chair. He commended the successful outcomes of the BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group meeting and the dialogue with Global South nations, emphasizing the growing influence and strength of the BRICS bloc.
