Treasures Unearthed: Qin Shi Huang’s Tomb Archaeological Discoveries Unveiled in Major Exhibition
Xi’an, China – Marking the50th anniversary of the excavation of the Terracotta Army, the 50th Anniversary of the Excavation of the Terracotta Army and the International Conference onthe Protection and Research of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Site was held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province on September 8th, 2024. Simultaneously, the exhibition The Underground Kingdom of the First Emperor: Archaeological Discoveries of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum opened its doors to the public, presenting a comprehensive showcase of archaeological findings from the tomb for thefirst time.
This exhibition serves as a valuable complement to the existing Terracotta Army Pit display. It features over 230 artifacts, carefully selected from the vast trove of discoveries made over the past 50 years. These objectsrepresent the pinnacle of archaeological achievements, offering a multi-faceted glimpse into the structure, content, and significance of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum.
