台中3号是台中場继台中1号和台中2号软种高丽菜后的又一力作。该品种通过特别的杂交组合,以耐热性卓越的亲本为基础,经过八年时间的纯化和筛选,最终诞生。在夏季温室的试验中,台中3号表现出优于传统品种228的结球良率和产量。

錢昌聖指出,台中3号不仅耐热,其结球紧实,便于储运和保存,从苗期到成熟仅需约65天,比主流品种更快,有助于减少菜农的生产风险。此外,台中3号的口感适中,既适合加工使用,也能在软种高丽菜短缺时作为炒食的替代品,甚至适合火锅店在夏季使用。

随着台中3号的推出,台湾夏季高丽菜市场将得到有效补充,消费者也将有更多选择。台中場期望通过这一新品種的研发,确保台湾全年都有高品质的高丽菜供应,满足市场需求。
