In a bid to protect consumers from falling prey to fraudulent schemes, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has issued an official statement debunking a fake notification regarding the Trade-in Civil Subsidy Allocation Certificate.
Fake Notification Alert
On September 3, 2024, the MOC issued a statement clarifying that it had never released a document titled Notice on the Allocation of Trade-in Civil Subsidies Certificate, which was purportedly circulated by unauthorized individuals. The fraudulent notification claimed to offer subsidies for trade-in programs and was distributed under the guise of official MOC and its affiliate agencies.
According to the statement, the MOC and its subordinate bodies have neither issued such a notification nor organized any live broadcast lectures or events titled Trade-in – Building the Chinese Dream as mentioned in the fraudulent document. Moreover, the MOC has emphasized that it has not requested any notarization fees for applying trade-in subsidies.
Consumer Caution
The MOC has urged the public to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to such scams. The ministry has already filed a report with the public security authorities to investigate the matter. The MOC’s statement serves as a crucial alert for consumers who might have been misled by the false notification.
Non-Genuine Charger Misconceptions

The updated regulations include 24 amendments and three new appendices: Notice for Railway Passenger Ticket Purchase, Notice for Railway Passenger Travel, and Notice for Railway Passenger Safe Travel.
