Title: Explicit Videos of Men Masturbating on Dutch Trains Circulate Online
Amsterdam, August 13, 2024 — An investigation by Dutch broadcaster NOS has uncovered over 100 explicit videos featuring men masturbating on Dutch trains, many of which have been uploaded to porn platforms such as F2F and OnlyFans. These videos, often recorded discreetly with smartphones in train compartments, sometimes include unsuspecting passengers.
The content is frequently shared behind paywalls, where users can upload their own sexual content for followers to watch at a cost. Some uploaders also post short teasers on social media platform X, which have been viewed millions of times. According to Tommy Baljet of The REPEAT Agency, who manages several OnlyFans stars, the popularity of such videos has surged in the past year, with train videos being particularly popular in the Netherlands, while in the United States, parking lots are a common setting.
An Amsterdam man who creates and posts these videos spoke to NOS, revealing that a 20-minute train ride from Almere to Amsterdam regularly arouses him. His 11-second teaser on X, which shows him dropping his pants and touching his genitals, garnered nearly 2.5 million views and became his most-watched video.
Masturbating in public is illegal under Dutch criminal law, and a recent amendment to the law now considers a moving train as a public space, potentially making such acts punishable. However, this has not deterred uploaders, with some finding the risk of getting caught adds to the excitement.
Anna Bron, an OnlyFans creator, told NOS that the idea of breaking the rules is enticing to many. Another creator on the platform described it as good that it is punishable, as it heightens the thrill of getting away with the act.
The Dutch national railway operator, NS, is aware of this issue but was previously unaware of its extent. Spokesperson Erik Kroeze said NS will investigate the phenomenon and has sometimes requested that video platforms remove content that is inappropriate for trains. However, getting such content removed can be challenging if it is behind a paywall or in unknown locations.
NS’s efforts to address this relatively new problem come as the railway operator grapples with the growing circulation of explicit content that does not align with the expected behavior on public transport.
