Great Wall’s Second-Generation Haval H9 SUV Set to Launch onSeptember 9th, Starting at 205,900 Yuan
Beijing, China – September 3, 2024 – Great Wall Motors is gearing up to launch the second-generation Haval H9 SUV on September 9th, with pre-orders already open. The vehicle will be available in three trims: Tanjing, Tuijing, and Jijing, with a starting price of 205,900 yuan (approximately $28,000 USD).
The second-generation Haval H9 boasts a modern, boxy design that’s popularin the current market. Its front grille features four thick silver chrome bars, while the headlights are square with round insets, incorporating circular LED daytime running lights. The car retains a conventional door handle design, and the rear features split rectangular taillights and an option for a spare tire.
Inside the cabin, the H9 features a 14.6-inch central touchscreen that supports 540-degree panoramic views. Below the screen, there are physical buttons for easy access. The front passenger seat offers an off-road handle, andthe dashboard includes wireless charging for smartphones. The seats are equipped with heating and ventilation functions.
The second-generation Haval H9 is built on a non-load-bearing chassis. The version with an external spare tire measures 5070x1976x1930 millimeters in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2850 millimeters. The version with an external storage box measures 4950 (5000) x1960 (1976) x1930 millimeters in length, width, and height,respectively, with a wheelbase of 2850 millimeters.
Powering the H9 is a 2.0T gasoline engine that delivers 224 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque.
The second-generation Haval H9 is expected to compete with other popular SUVs inthe Chinese market, such as the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and the Ford Explorer. Its combination of modern design, advanced features, and off-road capabilities could make it a strong contender in the segment.
