The store quickly issued an apology and requested refunds from customers, citing the error as a devastating loss. Thestore, operated by a team of six individuals in a small town, claimed the incident resulted in a 30 million yuan (around 4.1 million USD) loss.
However, a significant number of customers have refused to refund their purchases, with some even attempting to resell the discounted products on third-partyplatforms at inflated prices. According to reports, the majority of these customers were members of wool-pulling groups, online communities specifically designed to identify and exploit pricing errors and promotional offers.
