“黄廷方奖学金”激励四县300名学子追梦未来
中新网宁德8月23日电 (林榕生) “希望获奖的同学们饮水思源、常怀感恩之心，敢于有梦、勇于追梦，不断取得优异的成绩，迈好人生的每一步，不辜负社会各界的关心关爱。”福建省委统战部副部长李文慎23日在宁德市寿宁县如是表示。
当日下午，2024年“黄廷方奖学金”(福建)颁奖仪式以“线上+线下”的形式在寿宁县举行。300名品学兼优的学生，每人获得5000元奖学金，合计金额150万元，激励他们继续勤奋学习，追求卓越。此次奖学金颁发范围覆盖宁德市寿宁县、南平武夷山市、漳州市平和县及龙岩市武平县四个县(区)，其中寿宁县与武平县各60名学生，武夷山市50名学生，平和县130名学生。
作为此次颁奖仪式的主会场，寿宁县近年来坚持“把有限的资金先给教育，把最好的资源留给教育”，大力发展教育事业，取得了显著成效。2024年高考喜报频传，本科上线率达57.9%，创近10年最好成绩。寿宁县县长张永森表示，希望获奖的同学心怀感念、肩负期待，珍惜韶华、奋发有为，勇攀知识高峰，立志成才报国，不负时代、不负梦想，为全面建设社会主义现代化国家贡献青春力量。
获奖学生代表杨林聪表示，获得这份奖学金，不仅仅是物质上的帮助，更是精神上的巨大鼓舞，将努力学习各种知识，不断提升自己的综合素质和能力水平，为未来的发展奠定坚实基础。
“黄廷方奖学金”自2015年成立以来，在福建、四川、宁夏、广东、重庆、香港等地颁发奖学金，帮助贫困的优秀学生接受更好的教育。2020年、2021年，先后为宁德市周宁县、屏南县共120名贫困高中毕业生送温暖、送爱心。
宁德市委统战部副部长、市政府侨办主任陈良生表示，希望同学们对“黄廷方奖学金”给予的这份关爱心存感恩，要以“黄廷方慈善基金”“黄廷方奖学金”的善行义举为榜样，扶贫济困、奉献自我，真诚帮助身边需要帮助的人，把这份爱心永远传递下去。
据介绍，“黄廷方奖学金”设立至今，已在福建累计颁发奖学金968万元，帮助1939名应届高中毕业生实现大学求学梦。信和集团中国业务总经理、福建省海外联谊会常务理事黄若红称，“黄廷方奖学金”的设立旨在鼓励获奖同学自强不息、刻苦学习、积极上进、心怀感恩，将来学以致用，回报社会，把善心和正能量不断地传递下去。
李文慎表示，希望全省各地各级统战部门立足社会所需、发挥统战所长，广泛动员社会各界力量关注和支持教育事业，汇聚更多资源让爱心善心在全社会得以积聚和传递，让中华传统美德发扬光大。

The 2024 Huang Tingfang Scholarship (Fujian) award ceremony was held in Shounings County in a “online + offline” format on the afternoon of August 23. 300 outstanding students each received a scholarship of 5,000 yuan, totaling 1.5 million yuan, encouraging them to continue studying diligently and striving for excellence. The scholarship was awarded to students from four counties (districts) in Ningde City: Shounings County, WuyishanCity in Nanping, Pinghe County in Zhangzhou, and Wuping County in Longyan. Among them, 60 students each from Shounings County and Wuping County, 50 students from Wuyishan City, and 130 students from Pinghe County received the scholarship.
As the main venue for the award ceremony, Shounings County has in recent years adhered to the principle of “giving limited funds to education first and giving the best resources to education,” vigorously developing its education industry and achieving remarkable results. The county has reported good news in the 2024 college entrance examination, with a college enrollment rate of 57.9%, the best result in the past 10 years. Zhang Yongsen, County Magistrate of Shounings County, said he hoped that the award-winning students would be grateful, live up to expectations, cherish their youth, strive to achieve, climb thepeak of knowledge, aspire to become talented and serve the country, live up to the times and their dreams, and contribute their youthful strength to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country.
Yang Lincong, a representative of the award-winning students, said that receiving this scholarship is not only material help but also agreat spiritual encouragement. He will strive to learn various knowledge, continuously improve his comprehensive quality and ability, and lay a solid foundation for his future development.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Huang Tingfang Scholarship has been awarded in Fujian, Sichuan, Ningxia, Guangdong, Chongqing, HongKong, and other places, helping poor and outstanding students receive better education. In 2020 and 2021, the scholarship provided warmth and love to 120 poor high school graduates in Zhouning County and Pingnan County in Ningde City.
Chen Liangsheng, Deputy Director ofthe United Front Work Department of the Ningde Municipal Committee and Director of the Municipal Government’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, said he hoped that the students would be grateful for the care given by the Huang Tingfang Scholarship, take the charitable deeds of the “Huang Tingfang Charitable Foundation” and the “Huang Tingfang Scholarship” as an example, help the poor and needy, dedicate themselves, sincerely help those in need around them, and pass on this love forever.
It is reported that since its establishment, the Huang Tingfang Scholarship has awarded a total of 9.68 million yuan in scholarships in Fujian, helping 1,939 graduating high school students realize their dream of attending university.
