##“天津大爷”现身江南,不跳水仍传递快乐
中新网杭州8月21日电 (项菁) 一年前,火遍全网的天津跳水大爷考虑到安全问题,宣布退出狮子林桥跳水。一年来,许多网友十分关心和好奇——不在狮子林桥跳水的大爷们如今在忙啥?
近日,天津狮子林桥跳水队入选2024年度中华慈孝人物/团体,人称“老镰刀”的74周岁苏长海受邀到杭州领奖并接受中新网专访。他表示,虽然不再跳水,但依然保持着积极向上的生活态度,希望将快乐传递给更多人。
“上杠、倒立、劈叉,每天在运动,希望向更多人传递快乐。”苏长海说。他从小在天津海河畔长大,10岁学游泳、13岁练跳水,40多岁从外地回到天津老家后,正式开启了“跳水人生”。20多年前,他就在狮子林桥玩跳水,后来越来越多志同道合的“跳友”加入,自发组成狮子林桥跳水队。
2021年,苏长海的老伴因病离世,跳水队员们劝他走出家门,在一次次的互动、起跳、腾空、入水中,他慢慢走出阴霾、重拾阳光。随着互联网越来越发达,天津跳水大爷们迅速走红,中外游客闻讯而来,只为一睹大爷的跳水身姿,狮子林桥也一度成为网友口中的“8A级景区”。
2023年9月6日,大爷们宣布暂时告别狮子林桥跳水,但苏长海依旧忙碌。他表示,很多网友因为跳水认识到他,甚至还有不少外国朋友,专门跑到狮子林桥跟他交流、合影。他平时还是会去狮子林桥附近转转,传递积极向上的心态,不让大家失望。
“被天津大爷治愈”“被大爷的松弛感拿捏了”……正逢暑期,网络社交平台上,天津跳水大爷相关话题热度不减。自信开朗的苏长海没有任何“架子”,在网络上积极和年轻人分享自己的快乐。他直言,“只要我心中有一缕阳光,我就想把快乐洒满大地。”
告别狮子林桥跳水后,除了苏长海之外的大爷们也没闲着,他们有的选择在室内游泳场馆锻炼,继续享受跳水的乐趣,有的加入“老顽童”体操队,在路面上耍“绝活儿”,把老年生活过得有滋有味。
2024年度中华慈孝人物/团体颁奖仪式上,苏长海向观众展示“一字马”劈叉。现身江南的“天津伯伯”苏长海深受欢迎,忙着传递快乐。他笑称,“快乐无关年龄,人生就要玩儿。社会多美好,希望大家都能以童年的心态,活出快乐精彩的人生。”

The “Tianjin Grandpas,” who once captivated the internet with their daring dives from the Lion Forest Bridge, have returned tothe spotlight, this time in Jiangnan. While they have retired from their iconic jumps due to safety concerns, their spirit of joy and positivity remains as strong asever.
Su Changhai, affectionately known as “Old Sickle,” is a 74-year-old member of the Lion Forest Bridge diving team. He recently traveled to Hangzhou to receive the 2024 Chinese Filial Piety Award and shared his story with China News Service.
“I’m still active every day, doing exercises like pull-ups, handstands, and splits. I want to spread happiness to more people,” Su said.
He grew up by the Haihe River in Tianjin and started swimming at age 10, learning to dive at 13. After returning to his hometown in Tianjin in his 40s, he began his “diving life.” He started diving from the Lion Forest Bridge over 20 yearsago, and soon, other like-minded “diving friends” joined him, forming the Lion Forest Bridge diving team.
In 2021, Su’s wife passed away, leaving him heartbroken. His fellow divers encouraged him to step out of his grief, and through their shared dives, he gradually foundhis way back to happiness.
The Tianjin Grandpas quickly gained international fame as the internet exploded with their stories. Tourists from all over the world flocked to the Lion Forest Bridge to witness their daring jumps, turning the bridge into an “8A-grade scenic spot.”
On September 6, 2023, the Grandpas announced their temporary retirement from diving at the Lion Forest Bridge. However, Su remains active and engaged. He said that many people have reached out to him after seeing his videos, including foreign friends who traveled to the Lion Forest Bridge to meet him. He still visits the area regularly, spreading hispositive attitude and inspiring others.
“Healed by the Tianjin Grandpas,” “Their laid-back attitude is everything,” are just some of the comments flooding social media platforms, especially during the summer holidays. Su, confident and cheerful, has no airs about him and actively shares his joy with young people online. Since their retirement from diving, the other Grandpas have also kept busy. Some continue to enjoy diving at indoor swimming pools, while others have joined a “Old Playful Boys” gymnastics team, showcasing their skills on the streets. They are all living their golden years to the fullest.
At the 2024 Chinese Filial Piety Award ceremony, Su demonstrated his impressive splits. The “Tianjin Grandpas” have become a beloved fixture in Jiangnan, spreading joy wherever they go.
