Recently, a grand investment promotion conference themed “Building a New Economic and Trade Channel Across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to Help Co-ordinated Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” was held in Hong Kong on a grand scale. The conference attracted over 400 guests from within and outside the Greater Bay Area, including representatives from government departments, corporate executives, financial institutions, and media professionals.
At the conference, Mayor Huang Zhihao of Zhuhai City gave a detailed introduction to the progress of the construction of the new economic and trade channel across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Deputy Secretary for Transport and Logistics of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Liao Zhenxin, stated at the event that as the largest source of foreign investment in Zhuhai, the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge not only promotes mutual benefit and complementarity between the two sides but also provides new development opportunities for Hong Kong enterprises. Liao Zhenxin emphasized that the SAR Government will continue to leverage Hong Kong’s unique advantages in logistics, customs clearance, and aviation to promote the long-term economic development of both sides.
Chairman Zhang Jinsong of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce mentioned in his speech that the construction of the new economic and trade channel across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is of common interest to the three regions of Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macao, and requires joint efforts from all parties. He encouraged entrepreneurs to actively participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, seek new opportunities for industrial development and business cooperation, and contribute to the co-ordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
