河南县作为青海省唯一的蒙古族自治县，平均海拔3600米，拥有913万亩优质草场，被誉为“亚洲一流 青海最美”，同时也是全国最大的有机畜牧业生产基地。

County Party Secretary Qi Xianxiang introduced that the county has been promoting a comprehensive ban on plastics for 20 consecutive years, effectively curbing the problem of white pollution; at the same time, the construction and operation of sewage treatment plants and waste sorting centers have achieved a rate of harmless disposal of urban solid waste of 96.7%.
