BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) — The East China Military Command (ECMC) has organized a series of joint exercises in the vicinity of Taiwan, codenamed “Joint Sword-2024A,” from May 23 to 24, according to a post on the ECMC’s WeChat account. The exercises involved the Armies, Navies, Air Forces, and Rocket Forces of the war zone, and were conducted to test the operational readiness and combat effectiveness of the forces.
