During the opening ceremony, Lai Zhiming, Honorary Chairman of the Lai, Luo, Fu Clan Association in Changhua County, Taiwan, and Township Head of Dacun Township, Changhua County, expressed his nostalgia for his ancestors and warmth towards his clansmen in Taiwanese dialect.
The cultural festival attracted numerous Lai clan members from Changhua County, Taiwan, to visit their ancestral hometown in Pinghe County, Fujian, for ancestral worship. They hoped to strengthen cultural exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and enhance mutual understanding and friendship through this event. During the festival, clan members participated in sacrificial activities, visited historical and cultural sites such as Xintian Palace, and experienced the local customs and folkways.
