The report by Deloitte, titled “State of Generative AI in the Enterprise 2024,” reveals that 79% of surveyed companies are optimistic about generative AI and anticipate that it will bring significant changes to their organizations within the next three years. However, what they are most concerned about at present is how to derive tangible benefits from generative AI.
The survey, which included 2800 respondents from 6 industries and 16 countries/regions, ranging from directors to C-level executives, found that while confident in generative AI, over half of the business and technology leaders expressed concerns that the widespread adoption of AI could concentrate global economic power and exacerbate economic inequality.
Generative AI, capable of creating new content such as text, images, audio, and video, has potential applications in various fields including marketing, design, and software development. However, how to translate this technology into tangible business value is currently the top concern for the surveyed companies.
