For the Chinese New Year, the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider (BEPC) in the west of Beijing continues its silent yet relentless exploration into the microscopic universe. This research facility, occupying an area of 57,500 square meters, utilizes its 202-meter linear accelerator and a 240.4-meter circular accelerator to constantly accelerate electron-positron beams to energies required for experiments. These beams then collide at the southernmost collision point in the hope of uncovering more secrets of the microscopic world.
