Beijing, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) — A research team at the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) has made a breakthrough in the research of the next-generation thermoacoustic refrigeration technology. The team has proposed a new process design scheme for efficient thermoacoustic refrigerators, and the thermally driven thermoacoustic refrigerator developed based on this scheme has excellent performance. The energy efficiency ratio of the refrigerator far exceeds that of similar systems and can rival some dual-effect absorption refrigeration systems. This research achievement will promote the industrialization of the next-generation thermoacoustic refrigeration technology in China, marking a new milestone in this field.
