On January 30th, the “Silk Road Porcelain Journey” – A Special Exhibition of Chinese Jingdezhen Ceramic Culture was officially inaugurated at the Cultural Center of China in Paris. Organized by the Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Museum of China, this exhibition marks the first time that the museum has taken its collection overseas, with the aim to showcase the charm of traditional Chinese ceramic culture and enhance cultural exchange and understanding between China and France.
The exhibition features an extensive selection of porcelain pieces from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Museum, including blue-and-white porcelain, polychrome porcelain, overglaze enamel-painted porcelain, and contemporary works created by artists from Jingdezhen. The displayed works are centered around the Silk Road theme, showcasing the historical roots and development trajectory of Chinese ceramic culture, while also reflecting the unique status and influence of Jingdezhen as one of China’s important ceramic production centers.
