Beijing, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) — China’s Regional Alert Center for the International Space Environment Service Organization was inaugurated on January 3 at the Chinese Academy of Sciences National Space Science Center in Huairou Science and Technology City, Beijing. The center, which focuses on converging Chinese space environment monitoring and forecasting capabilities, will first release space weather products with refined regional characteristics of the solar system and the eastern hemisphere globally, providing an important reference for the global community to cope with space environment issues.
As an important carrier of China’s space environment monitoring and forecasting, the Alert Center is dedicated to improving the capacity for monitoring and warning of space weather, providing support for the safety and stability of spacecraft operations, satellite communications, navigation and positioning fields.
