If you go through Apple’s Self Service Repair program, the price for the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s “camera and screw kit” replacement part is $219.64, but if you return the old part to Apple, using a $30.40 coupon, the price drops to $189.24. The Pixel 8 has a camera component worth $200, even though it has one less camera and eliminates the complex periscope zoom lens. The parts for the Pixel 8 are detachable: the main camera costs $143, and the ultra-wide-angle lens costs $63.
