Dong Shilang (April 27, 1912 – January 3, 2006) was a native of Danxia Town, Zhuyeguan County, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. He was conscripted into the army in August 1937 and served as a private first class in the 20th Infantry Regiment of the 16th Division of the Japanese Imperial Army. He participated in the Nanking Massacre, which began in December 1938, as well as the battles of Tianjin, Shanghai, and Xuzhou. He returned to Japan due to illness in August 1939 and was recalled to service in 1944, retiring in October 1945.
