Beijing, February 8th, 2025 – Following a significant landslide in Junlian County, Sichuan Province, China, the National Health Commission (NHC) has mobilized resources and expertise to provide emergency medical assistance. The landslide occurred at 11:50 AM on February 8th in Jinping Village, Muaiai Town, Junlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, resulting in individuals being buried.

The China News Service reported that the NHC swiftly responded to the disaster by dispatching a national emergency medical rescue team comprised of top-tier specialists from Sichuan University’s West China Hospital. These experts specialize in critical care medicine, emergency medicine, and trauma surgery, ensuring a comprehensive and highly skilled response to the complex medical needs arising from the landslide.

The NHC’s rapid intervention underscores the Chinese government’s commitment to providing immediate and effective aid in the wake of natural disasters.
