Avitta 12 Extended Range Sedan Achieves 1000kmRange with CATL’s Super-Hybrid Battery

Avitta12, the extended-range sedan, has begun arriving at dealerships across China, with six cities already receiving the vehicle by October 25th. The caris set to officially launch on November 2nd and is currently available for pre-order. Avitta officially announced yesterday that the Avitta12 extended-range sedan will be the first to be equipped with CATL’s Super-Hybrid battery, known as the Xiaoyao battery.

The Avitta 12 has successfully completeda 1000km range challenge, certified by the Chongqing Notary Public Office. The car completed the challenge by driving from Nanjing to Beijing (1002km) and from Xi’an to Beijing (1030km) on a full tank of fuel and a full battery charge.

The Avitta 12 extended-range sedan features a hatchback design, HALO headlights, a lower front grille, four frameless doors, and a tailless design. The car will be equipped with aHarmonyOS 4-based cockpit developed by Huawei and a 1.5T range extender similar to the Deep Blue G318. The electric motor delivers a peak power output of 231 kilowatts, and the pure electric range is expected to reach 201 kilometers.

This achievement highlights the growing trend of extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) in China, with manufacturers focusing on achieving longer driving ranges. The Avitta 12’s success in achieving a 1000km range with the CATL Super-Hybrid battery is a significant milestone in thedevelopment of EREVs and could potentially influence the future of the Chinese automotive market.
