OPPO Watch X, the company’s firstcircular smartwatch, has received a new system update (V6.0.108) that introduces a highly anticipated feature: smart card functionality. This update, reported by IT Home, allows users to directly tap their watch to make payments, unlockdoors, and even start their car, all without needing to manually switch between different cards.
The new NFC smart card feature enables the watch to store anduse the most recently used cards, including a transit card, an access card, and an NFC car key. This eliminates the need for users to constantly switch between different cards, providing a more streamlined and convenient experience.
However, it’s importantto note that this feature is currently only available for Android users. To utilize the smart card functionality, users need to update their Health app to version 4.8.6 or later and enable the feature in the Devices – My Walletsection of the app.
The update also includes several other improvements, including an optimized sleep algorithm. This update aims to enhance the accuracy and insights provided by the watch’s sleep tracking feature.
OPPO Watch X was launched in March 2023 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen1 chip. It comes in three color options: Thousand Sail Blue, Desert Silver Moon, and Starry Night Flight. The watch also boasts a standalone WeChat app, eSIM support, and a separate phone number.
