Sichuan Province Resumes ID and Residency Services After Server Outage

Chengdu,China – The Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department announced the restoration of ID and residency servicesacross the province following a server outage caused by a power failure in the data center. The outage, which began on the morning of October 9th, affectedall public security bureaus in the province, halting the processing of applications for ID cards and residency permits.
