Huawei held its autumn full-scenario new product launch event today, marking the official debut of the Zhijie R7, a new smart luxury SUV. The event, which took place this afternoon, saw the unveiling of three variants of the vehicle: Pro, Max, and Ultra, priced between 258,000 and 339,800 yuan.

From the moment Zhijie was born, we set a goal: to create products and brands that young people will love and take pride in, said Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile, in a video message during the launch. This has been designated as our company’s top priority project, with a billion-dollar investment and a research and development team of over 1,000 people.

Chery has allocated its best factory and top team to the research, development, production, and service support system of Zhijie’s products. The dedication to excellence is evident, especially in the Zhijie R7, which has been meticulously crafted under the leadership of Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Senior Vice President and CEO of Consumer BG.

Yu Chengdong and his team have put in a tremendous amount of effort to refine every detail of the Zhijie R7, ensuring it has a comfortable space, exquisite interior design, and top-notch quality, Yin noted. The design is becoming more and more appealing, and I believe the Zhijie R7 will become the preferred choice for young people seeking a new benchmark in smart luxury SUVs.

The Zhijie R7 also boasts Huawei’s state-of-the-art ADS3.0 intelligent driving system, which continues to improve with use, offering driving experience even surpassing that of seasoned drivers.

The comparison between Huawei’s craftsmanship and German precision was a highlight of Yin’s speech. While Germany is often lauded for its craftsmanship and pursuit of perfection, Yin believes Huawei’s team surpasses even the Germans in this regard.

Everyone says the Germans have a strong craftsman spirit and a passion for perfection. However, in our collaboration with Huawei, we have found that their team is even more meticulous, more rigorous, and more committed to perfection than the Germans, Yin stated.

Chery is known as one of the most quality-focused domestic brands in China, consistently ranking high in JD Power’s independent brand rankings and other automotive quality assessments. However, Huawei’s standards and understanding of quality are even higher, according to Yin.
