Intel, the global technology giant, has announced an extension of the warranty period for its 13th and 14th Gen Core desktop processors, from the standard 3 years to a maximum of 5 years, due to inventory shortages and increased warranty requests. The move, announced during the company’s Q2 2024 earnings call, applies to all new and previously purchased customers worldwide, covering both boxed and tray processors, totaling 24 models.

Additionally, Intel has informed customers that there are currently no higher-end and compatible replacements available, such as the Core i9-14900K processor. This has added to the frustration of users who are facing extended downtime for their systems.
