Representatives from Beijing, Shanxi, Jilin, and over ten other provinces and cities gathered to discuss and experience the therapeutic and convalescent charm of Inner Mongolia. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchanges among different regions, promoting the development of Alshan as a prime destination for wellness tourism.

Alshan’s Unique Attractions

Alshan, nestled in the southwestern slopes of the Greater Khingan Range, boasts a rich natural environment and profound cultural heritage. The city is becoming increasingly popular as a new wellness tourism hotspot, both domestically and internationally. With its fresh air, warm sunshine, dense forests, and high-quality hot springs, Alshan offers scenic beauty year-round and has become a favored destination for wellness and convalescence.

First Impressions

Li Xian, a seasoned travel enthusiast from Shanxi Province, shared his initial impression of Alshan during an interview with journalists. The scenery here is beautiful, and the abundant forest and hot spring resources make it an ideal destination for therapy and relaxation, he said.

A Haven for Wellness

Spanning the southwestern slopes of the Greater Khingan Range, Alshan is rich in forest vegetation and high-quality mineral water resources. It serves as an ecological barrier and a key area for ecological security in northern China. In recent years, Alshan has been innovating its forest therapy model, developing oxygen-rich forest bath paths, snowfields, and magical forest projects. These initiatives have led to the creation of a comprehensive product system that includes forest hiking, camping, research, and yoga.

Additionally, the city has constructed and renovated attractions such as the China Hot Spring Museum, Lujiao Bay温泉 Resort Camp, Alshan Therapy Experience Hall, the Hand and Foot Hot Springs at Shengquan Square, and the Secret Hot Springs at Wuli Spring. This has established a diverse range of温泉度假 products that offer bathing, drinking, therapy, and viewing experiences.

A Vision for the Future

Wang Xiaohuan, Mayor of Alshan City, expressed his vision for the city’s development. Alshan relies on its abundant tourism and convalescent resources to continuously promote the construction of forest and hot spring therapy bases. We are committed to expanding our therapy and convalescent service functions, he said.

The mayor added, We hope to use this meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and exchanges with trade unions and therapy bases across the country. Our goal is to continuously create an Alshan brand of therapy and convalescence that offers a more beautiful environment, richer content, more diverse forms, and warmer service.

Conclusion

The gathering in Alshan marks a significant step in promoting wellness tourism in Inner Mongolia. As the city continues to develop its unique offerings, it is poised to become a leading destination for those seeking a healthy and relaxing retreat. The promotion meeting not only highlighted the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage but also demonstrated the potential for further growth and collaboration in the wellness tourism industry.
