Apple Opens New Scandinavian Store in Solna, Sweden
Solna, Sweden – Apple will open its newest Scandinavian store on September 20th,coinciding with the anticipated release of the iPhone 16. Located in the Mall of Scandinavia in Solna, the store marks Apple’s return to theSwedish market after closing its Helsingborg location in July.
The new store, situated 340 miles from the closed Helsingborg location, is asignificant investment for Apple in the Swedish market. It is particularly notable given the company’s previous struggles to secure a prime location in Stockholm. Local community opposition to a proposed store in Kungsträdgärden, a central Stockholmlocation, ultimately led to its rejection.
The Solna store, however, appears to have overcome these challenges, offering a more accessible location for Swedish customers. The Mall of Scandinavia, a major shopping destination, is expected to providesignificant foot traffic for the new Apple store.
The store’s design features a unique tree-style Apple logo created by Stockholm-based illustrator Henrietta Nyvang. Nyvang, who designed the logo on an iPad, expressed her excitement about collaborating with Apple on the project.
The new store’s openingcoincides with the release of the iPhone 16, suggesting a potential launch day event for the new device. Apple has yet to confirm any specific plans for the store’s grand opening.
