Lynk & Co Unveils Z10: A Premium Electric Sedan Aimingfor the Top
SHANGHAI, CHINA – Lynk &Co, the joint venture brand between Geely and Volvo, has officially launched its flagship electric sedan, the Z10. This C-segment vehicle, boastinga length exceeding 5 meters, is set to compete with established players in the luxury electric car market.
The Z10 is available in five distinctversions, each with varying battery capacities, driving ranges, and powertrain options. The entry-level Pro model features a 71 kWh battery, offering a range of 602 km (374 miles) anda rear-wheel drive system powered by a 200 kW single motor.
Stepping up, the Max variant comes with a 95 kWh battery, delivering a range of 766 km (476 miles) and also features a rear-wheel drive setup. The Max is available with two additional options: a Smart Drive Max version with enhanced driver assistance features and a range of 766 km (476 miles), and a Smart Drive Max version with a range of806 km (501 miles).
For those seeking even more performance, the top-tier Smart Drive Max version boasts a 95 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, generating a combined output of 580 kW. This variant offers a range of702 km (436 miles).
The Z10’s design language draws inspiration from Lynk & Co’s The Next Day concept car, seamlessly blending futuristic elements with the brand’s signature style. The rear features an active spoiler, adding a touch of sportiness andenhancing aerodynamics.
Inside, the Z10 offers a premium cabin experience. It features a 12.66-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch central touchscreen powered by the Flyme Auto operating system, which integrates seamlessly with smartphones through Flyme Link.
Audiophiles will appreciate the 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with a total output of 1600W. Both front and rear seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, ensuring maximum comfort for passengers.
Under the hood, the Z10 utilizes a 400V platform for the Pro and Max variants, while the 806 km and all-wheel drive versions are powered by an 800V platform. This advanced technology allows for faster charging times and improved energy efficiency.
The Z10’s suspension system features a double wishbone frontand multi-link rear setup. The top-of-the-line version further benefits from a dual-chamber air suspension system with CDC (Continuous Damping Control) dampers, offering a 30mm adjustable ride height.
