荣耀Magic V3 to Support Google Cloud Services, Reinforcing AI Integration and Privacy
Berlin, Germany – September 5, 2024
At the opening of the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) in Berlin, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor’s CEO, Zhao Ming, made a significant announcement. Honor Magic V3 will now support Google Cloud Services, marking a strategic move towards enhanced AI integration and privacy protection.
Zhao Ming emphasized the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping the smart terminal industry. He highlighted Honor’s commitment to delivering a wide range of smart experiences at various scenes. As a provider of smart devices, Honor has a deep understanding of the needs of terminal users, he said. Combining our expertise in hardware equipment, we have developed a unique AI strategy for terminal development.
In line with this strategy, Honor Magic V3 has entered into a formal collaboration with Google Cloud Services. This collaboration is based on Honor’s AI security framework, which emphasizes minimum access and usage of user information, and full desensitization of user privacy information.
The integration of Google Cloud Services into Honor Magic V3 promises a range of innovative experiences, including AI elimination and AI translation. The Honor AI security architecture ensures that user information is accessed and used minimally, and user privacy information is fully desensitized.
For instance, when a user selects photos, the AI on the terminal ensures that only the selected photos are used, without accessing other photos in the album. The AI also desensitizes information such as location and time contained in the photos. Subsequently, HONOR Personal Cloud identifies the parts to be erased and uploads the content to be eliminated. Google Cloud then processes the photos, followed by a risk control system that reviews the processed photos to avoid any inappropriate content. Finally, the content is returned to the Personal Cloud and the terminal, eliminating the content uploaded to both Personal Cloud and Google Cloud.
This collaboration also extends to the global launch of new flagship devices, including the Honor Magic V3, Honor Pad MagicPad2, and Honor Notebook MagicBook Art 14. These devices come with a range of innovative AI technologies, such as AI face change detection and AI defocus eye protection.
Counterpoint’s latest data shows that in the second quarter of 2024, Honor surpassed Samsung to take the lead in the West European foldable screen market share.
This strategic move by Honor not only reinforces its position in the global market but also underscores its commitment to providing users with a secure and personalized AI experience.
