SEOUL, South Korea — One hundred Filipino domestic helpers have officially begun their duties in Seoul as part of a government pilot project aimed at addressing the city’s growing demand for household services, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on September 3.
The Filipino workers, who arrived in South Korea on August 6, completed a four-week professional training program that included sessions on Korean language skills, sexual harassment prevention, and industrial safety before starting their new roles.
