China Warns Japan: No Room for Military Resurgence
BEIJING – China’s Ministry of National Defense has issued a stern warningto Japan, stating that it will not tolerate the resurgence of militarism in the country. The warning comes in response to recent actions by Japanese officials, including thevisit of Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada to the controversial Yasukuni Shrine.
The Ministry’s spokesperson, Senior Colonel Wu Qian, addressed the issueduring a regular press conference on August 29th.
