On August 21st, a unique picture book creation exchange event for elementary school students from China, Japan, and Korea took place in Mizu-machi, Gunma Prefecture. This annual event, organized by Japanese educational groups, rotates its location among thethree countries. This year, the event was held at a hotel in Mizu-machi, bringing together approximately 100 students from grades 4 to 6.

Themed around “water,” children were divided into 10 groups and inspired by keywords like “ocean” and “rainfall,” they collaboratively designed storylines and created picture books.
