**Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, August 20 (Xinhua)** – “The business environment in Nanchang is excellent, and the local government’s service awareness is strong. We feel very secure investing here,” said Wu Ronghou, general manager of Nanchang Pingrong Food Co., Ltd.,in a recent interview with Xinhua.
Located in Xiangtang Town, Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province, Nanchang Pingrong Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nanchang Pingrong”) is the flagship factory of Taiwanesecompany Pingrong Food Development Co., Ltd. in mainland China. It mainly engages in the production and sales of frozen snacks, mooncakes, and pastries. Its frozen brand “A’Nuo” has become a leading brand in the frozen snackindustry, and its ambient temperature brand “Gu Yue Zhai” also enjoys high recognition and is favored by the market.
Since settling in Xiangtang Town, Nanchang County in 2009, Nanchang Pingrong has gradually formed a complete industrial chain of “research and development-production-sales-service” by continuously strengthening product research and development and building distinctive brands. Its profits have increased year by year, reaching 170 million yuan in total output value in 2023.
“The company currently has 13 factories at home and abroad, and Nanchang Pingrong is our central factory.Leveraging the geographical advantages of Xiangtang, products from the Nanchang factory are now radiating to the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, and last year they even reached Hong Kong and Macau,” Wu Ronghou introduced. In August 2023, Nanchang Pingrong received its first mooncakeexport orders from Hong Kong and Macau, marking a breakthrough in mooncake exports from Nanchang City.
“On this fertile land in Nanchang, the company’s development prospects are becoming increasingly broader. Now, our production workshops have expanded from the initial one to six, equipped with over 20 fully automated foodproduction lines. We expect this year’s output value to reach 200 million yuan,” Wu Ronghou told reporters. The rapid development of Nanchang Pingrong is closely related to the support of the local government.
“In addition to policy support in the form of ‘real money’ such as taxreductions and exemptions, relevant departments have also taken the initiative to communicate and inquire about our needs, using practical actions to help us solve problems. They have truly achieved ‘thinking what the enterprises think, and worrying what the enterprises worry,’ further strengthening our confidence and determination in developing in Nanchang,” Wu Ronghou said.
Inside the intelligent production workshop of Nanchang Pingrong, the sound of machinery is constant, and workers are busy. After going through production processes such as mixing, pressing, baking, cooling, and packaging, one exquisite mooncake after another is produced. Wu Ronghou introduced that these mooncakes are the company’s innovative Forbidden City cultural and creative mooncakes to be launched during this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
“In this new era, traditional foods also need to undergo transformation. How to inherit and innovate is something the company has been exploring. In the future, we will uphold the right principles and innovate, continueto increase R&D investment, promote product quality upgrades, and create more delicacies that combine traditional beauty with modern creativity,” Wu Ronghou said.
The success story of Nanchang Pingrong demonstrates the favorable environment and broad prospects for Taiwanese businesses investing and developing in Jiangxi. As Jiangxi Province continues to optimize itsbusiness environment and attract more Taiwanese businesses to invest and start businesses, it is believed that in the future, there will be more Taiwanese companies like Nanchang Pingrong achieving greater development in Jiangxi.
