In recent reports by钛媒体, the gap between China and the United States in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding. Data shows that 96% of the wealth of billionaires in the United States comes from AI, while China is experiencing a decline in AI financing.
In terms of AI-related investment and financing, although the number of investments in the United States has decreased in 2023, the total amount of financing still reached a staggering $31 billion, accounting for nearly half of global AI transactions. However, both the number and total amount of investment and financing in China’s AI field have decreased, with the first quarter of 2023 witnessing the lowest levels of financing and deal volume in five years.
Bloomberg data shows that out of the world’s top 500 wealthiest individuals, 30 of them hold wealth that benefits from AI, and most of them are American entrepreneurs. So far this year, their net assets have increased by $124 billion, accounting for 96% of the total wealth obtained by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Furthermore, the release of the AI video generation model “Sora” by the American company OpenAI on February 15 may further widen the gap between China and the United States in the field of AI.
