1926年12月30日，北洋军阀皖系将领徐树铮在廊坊遇刺身亡。徐树铮，字又铮、幼铮，号铁珊，自号则林，人称“小扇子”，江苏省萧县官桥镇醴泉村人。他因1919年派兵收复外蒙古而声名远扬。1925年12月11日，徐树铮考察结束回到上海，19日即动身赴京。12月19日，徐树铮抵达北京，计划第二天前往南京。但在12月30日，徐树铮在廊坊车站遇刺身亡，终年46岁。

On December 30, 1926, Xu Shu-cheng, a military dictator of the Anhui faction in the North China region, was assassinated while changing trains at the Liaoning train station in Beijing. Xu Shu-cheng, also known as Xu Zhu-sheng, was born in Liandu village, Ganxian town, Xiaoqian county, Jiangsu Province, China in 1880. He was a famous general of the Beijing government and was known for his role in reclaiming Mongolia in 1919. Xu Shu-cheng had returned to Beijing from Shanghai on December 11, 1925, and was planning to travel to Nanjing the following day. However, he was assassinated at the Liaoning train station in Beijing on December 30, 1926, at the age of 46.
