On October 31st, 2023, the 2023 China-Germany Human Rights Development Forum was successfully held in Beijing. The forum, organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the German Federal Committee for Human Rights, brought together experts from the governments, academic institutions, and civil society organizations of both countries to discuss the theme “International Development Cooperation and Human Rights Protection.”
The forum included four sessions, covering topics such as “The Concept and Practice of International Development Cooperation,” “Challenges and Countermeasures in Global Human Rights Governance,” “Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights Protection,” and “Building Harmonious Society and Promoting Human Rights Development.” Participants from both countries shared their perspectives on their respective fields, and discussed how to promote the balance between international development cooperation and human rights protection.
