Can a Non-Extended BMW 530i Sell Well? TheStandard Wheelbase Version Launches at 485,900 Yuan

October 24, 2024 – BMW officially announced the launch of the new BMW 530i standard wheelbase model (G60) in China on October 24th. Two versions are available, priced between 485,900 and 525,900 yuan.

This new model adopts the M Performance sports package, enhancing its sporty feel with black exterior details, including personalized black headlight trims, black high-gloss exterior components, M tri-color front seat belts, deep blue M sportcalipers, and an M rear spoiler.

In addition to the 9 standard paint colors, the new BMW 530i offers 4 personalized custom paint colors and over 100 personalized custom special paint options.

Inside, the newBMW 530i comes standard with Veganza, a high-quality, environmentally friendly interior material with stitching, offering softness and minimal odor.

Furthermore, it adds a higher quality personalized custom extended Merino leather option with 4 color choices.

Power-wise, the new car is equipped with BMW’s latest2.0T four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power output of 190 kilowatts/258 horsepower and peak torque of 400 Nm, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.2 seconds.

In terms of chassis, the newBMW 530i adds a professional adaptive suspension, including a variable damping control system that adjusts based on road conditions and driving style, lowering the suspension by up to 4 mm to reduce the vehicle’s center of gravity and enhance dynamic stability.

The new car also features an integral active steering system with arear wheel steering angle of 2.5°, enhancing low-speed agility and high-speed stability.

It’s worth noting that in the domestic market, the standard wheelbase model’s sales volume is significantly lower than the long wheelbase model. Whether the new 5 Series standard wheelbase version can change thisobjective trend remains to be seen.
