Barefoot Dutchman Breaks World Record, Walking 3,450 km forMen’s Mental Health

LOUIS, MISSOURI – Anton Nootenboom, a 37-year-old Dutch war veteran known as The Barefoot Dutchman, has achieved the seemingly impossible: walking 3,450 kilometersbarefoot in 175 days, shattering the previous world record. He achieved this remarkable feat on Sunday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri, surpassing the previous recordof 3,409.75 kilometers held by Polish walker Pawel Durakiewicz.

Nootenboom’s journey began on February 17th on Santa Monica Beach in California. He embarked on this extraordinary trek withthe goal of walking from Los Angeles to New York, a distance that would not only break the world record but also serve as a powerful platform to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

I am completely exhausted, Nootenboom admittedafter breaking the record. I’m suffering with boiling hot roads now that temperatures are hitting 35 degrees every day. Despite the physical toll, his determination remains unwavering. He plans to continue his journey for another 1,700 kilometers, aiming to reach Times Square in New York on November 2nd.

Nootenboom’s decision to walk barefoot is a testament to his commitment to his cause.
