Regional District Seeks Feedback on Central Okanagan Business Landscape: A News Story

Kelowna, BC – The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is seeking input from local businesses, residents, and workers to inform its upcoming Economic Development Commission (COEDC) Strategy 2025 to2030. The survey, launched by the COEDC, aims to understand the priorities and needs of the region’s workforce and business community.

This survey is crucial for shaping the future of our region’s economic landscape, said Krista Mallory, Manager of COEDC. We want to hear directly from businesses and community members about their experiences, opportunities, and challenges in theCentral Okanagan.

The survey, which is being conducted with the assistance of Deloitte LLP, will gather insights on a range of topics, including:

  • Business priorities: What are the most important factors for business success in the CentralOkanagan?
  • Workforce needs: What are the skills and qualifications needed to attract and retain talent?
  • Economic opportunities: What are the key growth sectors and potential for future development?
  • Challenges: What are the obstacles businesses face in the region?

The information gathered will be used todevelop the COEDC Strategy 2025 to 2030, which will guide the region’s economic development efforts over the next six years. The survey will also help track community trends and identify areas for improvement.
