AMD is reportedly planning to release four newgraphics cards based on its upcoming RDNA 4 architecture, according to Taiwanese tech publication Benchlife.Info. The information, which surfaced on August 27th, suggests that the 28 WGP (Workgroup Processors) model with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, previously spotted in GeekBenchbenchmarks under the codename gfx1201, corresponds to the Navi 48 XT1 GPU.
This Navi 48 XT1, identified by the code name R24D-E6, is currentlyin its early engineering sample (ES) stage. As a result, the available drivers from AMD only allow for basic boot testing, limiting the tested SKU’s frequency to 2.1GHz. Consequently, any benchmarks obtained at this stageare not considered reliable.
Beyond the Navi 48 XT1, AMD is reportedly preparing three additional RDNA 4 GPU variants: R24D-E8, R25D-P8, and R25D-P4. While the exact specifications of these models remain undisclosed, theirpresence hints at a diverse range of performance levels within the upcoming RDNA 4 lineup.
