BEIJING, CHINA – August27, 2024 – BYD’s upcoming flagship SUV, the Fangchengbao Leopard 8, is set to feature Huawei’s intelligent driving system, according to sources close to the company. While the official launch date for the Leopard 8 was initially slated for the third quarter of 2024, there were concerns that it might be pushed back to the fourth quarter or even the end of theyear. The specific Huawei intelligent driving system to be implemented inthe Leopard 8 remains undisclosed. The Leopard 8, built on BYD’s DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) super hybrid platform, boasts a rangeof impressive features.
