Over the coming days, diplomats from the six Lancang-Mekong countries, representatives from mainstream media, young students, singers, as well as international photographers, cultural and tourism influencers, will travel to Zhêmo County and Nangqian County in Yushu Prefecture, embarking on a journey back to the source. YIN SHIN MYAT THU, a 21-year-old Myanmar girl and video blogger, is making her first “independent long journey” to see the original appearance of the Mekong River. She expressed that the opportunity to witness the Mekong River in its original form would be an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.
The successful hosting of the 2024 Lancang-Mekong International Image Week not only promoted cultural exchanges among the six countries but also provided a platform for mutual understanding and enhancing friendship among the people of these countries.
