2024年“共创未来”中美青年创客大赛总决赛近日在北京中华世纪坛圆满落幕。此次大赛吸引了来自中美两国的500余名青年创客组成的114支团队参与,成为青年科技创新交流的重要平台。

News Content: The grand finale of the 2024 “Co-Create the Future” U.S.-China Youth Maker Competition came to a successful conclusion recently at the Chinese Century Terrace in Beijing. The competition, which drew 500-plus young makers from 114 teams representing both the United States and China, served as an important platform for innovation and technology exchange among young people.

During the finals, the project “AI Empowers the Footwear Industry: A Pioneer in Digital Efficiency Enhancement” from the team ShoeCore Intelligence was awarded the Outstanding Award for U.S.-China Youth Cooperation for its innovative and practical value. Additionally, the team ECNU_OpenEdu4All received the Intel Special Award for their work “OpenEdu4All: An Intelligent Assistive Platform for Personalized Course Teaching” due to its contribution to the education sector.

The competition, hosted by the Ministry of Education of China, aims to encourage deep exchanges and cooperation in the innovation field between young people from the United States and China, and to promote the creation of innovative outcomes with social and industrial value by young makers. At the opening ceremony, Vice Minister Chen Dali of the Ministry of Education’s International Cooperation and Exchanges Bureau expressed his hope that the U.S.-China Youth Maker Competition would serve as a bridge for youth exchange and cooperation, and that it would provide more support for future youth innovation exchanges.

Intel, as a long-standing supporter of the competition, worked together with other parties to ensure that this year’s competition fully returned to a physical format, attracting over 11,000 makers from 2,000-plus submitted projects, including 20 joint projects between the U.S. and China. Participants came from various prestigious universities both domestically and internationally, such as Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as young makers from different fields, including staff from the United Nations Population Fund.

Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Public and Governmental Affairs for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mr. William Fitzgerald, pointed out at the award ceremony that the exchanges and cooperation between U.S.-China youth at the competition would contribute to global sustainable development.
