在论坛上,全球护水者联盟理事、美国女生阳离子(Katherine Olson)讲述了她的骑行之旅,从浙江杭州出发,途经宁波、温州,进入丽水山区,最终回到钱塘江畔,全程骑行2000多公里,只为讲述中国环境20年来的变化。阳离子不仅是全球护水者联盟的成员,还是一位拥有百万粉丝的自媒体短视频创作者,她通过镜头向世界展示了中国农村和小城镇的点点滴滴。
哥伦比亚籍留学生丽娜(Lina Maria Castiblanco Diaz)也分享了她的故事。她在中国学习中文和中国文化,并获得了中国政府奖学金,参与录制了杭州亚运会主题歌曲,取得了研究生学位。丽娜表示,她致力于让更多哥伦比亚人了解中国,并已开始与浙江当地媒体合作,以视频形式向海外介绍浙江。

Hangzhou, July 26 (Xinhua) — The 2024 Sustainability Youth Debate Conference (Overseas) and UCL China Forum was successfully held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, recently. Young people from around the world gathered to share their stories with China and sustainable development education.
During the forum, Katherine Olson, a member of the Global Waterkeeper Alliance and an American girl, shared her cycling journey that took her from Hangzhou to Ningbo, Wenzhou, and into the mountainous areas of Lishui, before returning to the Qiantang River, covering a distance of over 2,000 kilometers. Her trip was aimed at telling the story of China’s environmental changes over the past 20 years. Olson is not only a member of the Global Waterkeeper Alliance but also a popular social media creator with millions of followers, who uses her camera to showcase the details of rural and small towns in China.
Lina Maria Castiblanco Diaz, a Colombian student studying in China, also shared her story. She learned Chinese and Chinese culture, received a scholarship from the Chinese government, participated in recording the theme song for the Hangzhou Asian Games, and obtained her master’s degree. Lina expressed her commitment to increasing Colombian understanding of China and has already started cooperating with local media in Zhejiang to introduce Jiangsu to the world through videos.
Anna Van, a Russian girl whose parents are from Russia and China, grew up immersed in Chinese culture. She was educated in China and participated in a green environmental project in Fuxin, Liaoning province, which involved planting trees and combating desertification. Anna shared her experiences at a “green mountains are golden mountains” event in Shenzhen.
These young people have used their personal experiences to showcase China’s achievements and efforts in sustainable development.
