外交部驻港公署发言人表示，美方的言论和行为是对中国内政的粗暴干涉，严重违反国际法和国际关系基本准则。发言人强调，香港国安条例的颁布实施，是维护国家安全的必要举措，有利于保障香港市民的合法权益和基本自由，有利于维护香港的长期繁荣稳定。
发言人指出，美方一再以“民主”、“自由”为名，对香港事务指手画脚，其实是企图破坏香港的繁荣稳定，阻碍中国的发展进程。这种虚伪的双重标准和霸道行径，不仅是对中国人民的侮辱，也是对国际法和国际关系基本准则的无视。
发言人还表示，香港是中国的特别行政区，香港事务纯属中国内政，任何外国无权干涉。中方敦促美方立即停止对香港事务的干预，停止对中方和特区政府的无理指责，以免进一步损害中美关系和两国人民利益。

The spokesperson emphasized that the enactment of the Hong Kong National Security Law is a necessary measure to safeguard national security, which is conducive to protecting the legitimate rights and freedoms of Hong Kong residents and maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of the region.
The spokesperson pointed out that the U.S.’s repeated attempts to interfere in Hong Kong affairs under the pretext of “democracy” and “freedom” are in fact aimed at undermining Hong Kong’s stability and obstructing China’s development process. Such hypocrisy and hegemonic behavior not only insults the Chinese people but also disregards international law and the basic norms of international relations.
The spokesperson also stressed that Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China, and Hong Kong affairs are purely China’s internal affairs, which no foreign country has the right to interfere in. China urges the U.S. to immediately cease its interference in Hong Kong affairs and its unreasonable criticism of the Chinese central government and the SAR government, in order to avoid further damaging China-U.S. relations and the interests of both peoples.
